E-waste Management and Pollution Prevention Policy

Mission Statement

Hi-Tec Recycling actively supports the protection of the environment by efficiently recycling all our e-waste. Our everyday pollution prevention activities reduce the need for e-waste to go into landfills. Hi-Tec Recycling believes in a closed production system, and a no landfill policy. We are committed to our customers, our communities and to everyone's environment.

History

Hi-Tec Recycling has been integrating the philosophy of environmental protection since its inception. Because hazardous compounds are found in many electronics it is important to maintain an environmental management policy. We are happy to say that we lead the e-waste industry in environmental practice and activities. Further, we are always working to improve our pollution prevention performance, which is important in the ever-changing world economy. Hi-Tec Recycling is certified with the State of California. Our CA Electronic Waste ID (CEWID) # is 106932.

Management Policy

Hi-Tec Recycling is in compliance with Cal OSHA, the California Department of Environmental Quality and EPA, which help to protect our employees, our environment and our communities. Hi-Tec Recycling exceeds the regulations and recommendations of these agencies in our commitment to a sustainable world environment. The majority of the e-waste is recycled through resale. Our processing also generates some unsellable waste. This e-scrap is sent to certified smelters contracted nationwide with the optimum return, to assure complete disposal of the material with little to zero impact on the environment. We ask that our customers and suppliers contact us if they ever have concerns or questions regarding our practices.
