Hi-Tec Recycling appreciates the opportunity to educate our customers about our practices within the recycling industry, and to assure those recycling with us that we are tirelessly committed to preventing disposal of electronics and other hazardous materials in local landfills and those abroad as well.

Hi-Tec Recycling works as a California Certified (CEWID# 106932) Collector in a chain of events that leads ultimately to the complete dismantling of the entire e-waste stream down to its component parts, or commodities, including dark and light plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, low and high grade printed circuit boards, leaded glass, etc. Most of what ends up in landfills in non-developed nations is sent over intact for reuse.

The hazardous waste that we deal in has no outlet except with reputable smelters that are subject to audits and oversight.

Remaining non-hazardous and unregulated categories of waste are sent to smelters or third party recyclers who specialize in those specific streams of waste. We have provided a complete list of our "downstream chain" below.

**IMPORTANT** THE RECYCLERS WE WORK WITH DO NOT RESELL OR SHIP ANYTHING INTACT.

Recycling is a complex new industry. It is our sincere hope that those seeking to gain from it will consider that even though there is a substantial cost in properly processing e-waste, there is a far graver cost to our environment and to humanity when we don't do so.
